Hi,
I have had the same problem ever since I upgraded to Windows 10. My Sony VAIO laptop came from Best Buy bundled with many neat applications preinstalled like Sony Sound Forge, ACID Music, ArtRage Studio, and several others. All applications that are considerably expensive to purchase. Due to my work, I use the programs often and have several files that I cannot access because the programs have vanished. They even used to have their own towered taskbar on my desktop which was also preinstalled. It too, was gone after the jump to Windows 10. I followed all the appropriate procedure as outlined by Microsoft and Sony. There was never any mention that this could happen. When I tried to recover any missing programs through the built in VAIO help, I would always get some sort of error or hoop to jump through that wouldn't work. I haven't gotten my laptop to recognize that the programs were ever there. Just sound files and inaccessible digital art files remain.
Any and all help would be welcome. This all happened some time ago but I am reaching out now because this was the first time I've found someone else to have had the same problem. No other forum I have found has referenced this exactly and no official Q & A's / Automated troubleshooter has addressed this issue.
