Thank you for the response. Unfortunately, it doesn't really answer the question, it's more of a "re-direct" to elsewhere.
The link you gave me directed me to the SonyCreativeSoftware.com page
On that pagic I'm informed that the software has been purchased by Magix
I'm further directed to another website, www.vegascreativesoftware.com
From there I see software that's version 13 & higher (my Sony Vaio came with 12)
I then have to talk with Magix customer service, who say I need the serial number
This is a serial number that was not provided with the software when I purchased my Vaio
I do have the Windows serial # but not sure how that might help
Even if I have the creative software I bought as a package deal with my Vaio ...
Like I said, the Magix people redirected me to a website to download 13 & higher (Movie Platinum Studio)
Unfortunately, the package software/computer I purchased came with version 12
As you see I've been looking into all of this trying to resolve the issue, unfortunately I keep getting website links as answers to my questions of how to resolve this
Is there a way to actually get this software? I was thinking there would be a way to obtain this from my Windows Serial, or some other way ... or that a download link to the older version of the Sony Creative Software (v 12) would be provided. Is that possible? Or is the faulty Sony Vaio hard drive that came with my computer the reason that I won't be able to obtain the software that I purchased as part of my Sony Vaio laptop?
Thank you,
GW F
